Four schools form the next scheme phase (3 and 4) of BSF. This includes St Bede's RC College. The Shine Arts Strategist has attended the Immersion Day for St Bede's in January 2011, followed by a meeting on 25th June 2012 with St Bede’s RC High School Headteacher Mr D Callaghan. The agreed consensus for the artist residency would be to focus on making creative opportunity of the artistic signage or other applied arts within the school as part of the new Building Schools for the Future (BSF) building works.
Specifically discussed was something physical for the main lobby and/or circulations areas and in particular possibly explored either memory of the school and it’s forerunners or even spaces in the school. The school also holds a small archive of headmaster journals which could be linked as a possible archive or source material in some way.
